I've been wondering about...You're spot on! I've been wondering about the same things you so beautifully wrote about. I guess the only rational answer I can come to (at this point) is that I just don't "get" some things. GE made $5 billion in profits within the U.S. and didn't pay a penny in taxes. Yet, when I mention this, I'm blasted with reasons why that's okay. Like I said, I don't get it, duh!<br /><br />Anayway, I hope you have a fabulous trip. Two friends, independent travelers, rather recently spent a month in China and thoroughly enjoyed their visit. The only complaint was that the time passed too quickly.<br /><br />We're leaving June 28th, back to Italy/Austria and to Hungary, returning August 9th.
