Bei Luotuo!
I have more or less confirmed from two completely independent sources, a Chinese friend in Hawaii, and a Norwegian teacher of Cantonese in Hong Kong, that "Bei luotuo" could mean "prepare the camel," in the same sense that the Chinese protagonists in the dramas I like to watch often order their servants, "Bei ma!" (Prepare the horse.) And don't I want to.

Yes, winter does exist...but it's very subtle! We're in the low 70/ high 80 period. At some point we'll have overnight lows in the low 60s...for a few days. But when you live in such narrow latitudes of temperature, so to speak, it's still a seasonal difference. We have yin/yang, even in Paradise! Oddly, a lot of people from here like to go the the Harbin Ice Festival in January....and all those people from Minnesota and North Dakota come here at the same time!
